Washington DC is a one party consent district, which means any person can record their telephone conversation, with out the other person's permission. The same is true of Georgia. Remember how, after Trump avowed he had not tried to pressure any campaign officials, to change vote tallies, how Raffensperger released the call he had recorded? If I'd been a Republican, I'd have started taping every phone conversation I had with another politician. I'm sure that Liz Cheney is the source of this bit of audio. And she had every right to record her own conversations. I really doubt the government is listening in, as that sort of warrant is difficult to obtain.

@annsanse2935 Metadata is not a voice recording.

The recording are shown to prove McCarthy thought Trump had committed criminal acts, even if he later kissed the ring, due to his fear of the orange tyrant's base.

@markwarren5644 Nobody need justify a vote for Biden. However, how one could possibly vote for Trump, after his utter incompetence and attempts to become president-for-life, does need justification, or at least an explanation. How can you participate in the democracy, by voting, when you clearly do not believe in it?

It lasted longer than Trump's blog. Let's see how long Truth Social lasts, before you start dumping on CNN+.

Pressuring election official to change vote tallies, and attempting a soft coup.

@cuttinstones3024 Unlike Trump, Biden's lips don't move when he reads.

Do you know when they received this recording? I'm assuming it came from Liz Cheney, and since she sits on the Jan. 6 committee, they are already privy to this information.

Other politicians can be corrupt liars, striving only for power, without trying to thwart the will of the people. I can't think of another politician who tried to stay in power, when he lost the election. I can't think of another time, in US history, a violent mob was energized, to prevent the peaceful transfer of power, by the guy who lost the election.
