So he fires those he feel threaten his reign, as they start to investigate his suspicious activities. Then he used the fact they were fired to discredit them. I'd say their firing is proof of his guilt rather than theirs. Further, the new Trump spin that he was acting in a shady way because he was "burned by leaks" is absurd as the leaks occurred because of his sneaky behavior. If he hadn't acted like a Russian agent, the leaks would not have occurred.
