  1. What it says is Canada has never had race riots. You've had riots where the whites attacked others, basically pogroms, the last one being in 1918, but never riots where one minority decided to burn and loot as much of a city as they could, often ruining the homes and businesses of other minorities, as well as their own. But, these have occurred periodically, in the US, since the beginning of the 20th century. This young man would not have been armed, if such a riot had not been occurring, and if the powers-that-be hadn't decided to just let the city burn. It really doesn't speak of the values of the whole country, but a certain violent subsegment, who think might makes right, and are willing to set their own people back.
