Do a little reading, he was killed because he was supporting and funding an organization that was committed to the removal of the royal family by any means, expressly assassination. No, in a nutshell, countries will supplicate themselves to a backwards monarchy, because they have oil. This has been going on since the invention of the internal combustion engine, and will continue until we end our reliance on fossil fuels.

Is MBS murdering minorities? Is he conquering other countries? Then he isn't anything like Hitler. He is a hereditary monarch. At least he is doing battel with the clerics that would spread wahhabism, and letting women have some human rights. He also is trying to get his country to diversify its income, not just rely on oil money, and encouraging high caste parasites to actually earn a living. When he dies, the country he leaves behind will be better than the one he inherits. Is he warm and cuddly? No. But, is he really any worse than the numerous dictators ruling the Arab world?
