  1. The point he's making is we are a country made up of many races and religions, so we need a common culture to hold us together. If he didn't accept others, he wouldn't want them to assimilate into a united nation.

  2. So well put. It is great to speak a second and third language. For one thing, it is nice to speak privately in public. But, not mastering the language of the land keeps one down. It prevents on from reaching their potential. And the way ESL is administered in some schools, who assume a Spanish surname means a child needs ESL, is far more racist than Brokaw's. comments.

  3. The fact that Trump has no idea how democracy works, and thinks that it is OK to steal an election, with the help of a hostile foreign power, is the reason the FBI investigated him. They were doing their job well to open that investigation.
