  1.  @williamh4172  Weird, there never has been a virus so studied, with so many scientific papers written about its means of infection, inflammatory response to it, genetics, antiviral effectiveness, and damage to the host. I too have a science degree, and since it is in microbiology, I'm more of an expert than a chemist. Tell me, how many experiments have you done on pathogens or immunology? I'm sure I did more than you, before I even graduated.

  2. There have been so many studies, on that antiparasitical, and all demonstrate, not only does it not improve outcome, it actually worsens it. But, I doubt Lake could understand a scholarly journal paper.

  3. One can learn online, if the correct source is used. When desiring to learn about a virus, it would be best to only listen to virologists. You know, a real expert, not a cardiologist (who probably took his virology course pass/fail) or a nurse, who calls himself doctor.

  4. Sometimes getting it wrong, can add greatly to what we know. eg. There was a study that recently concluded, after ten years of study, to determine if a certain cocoa extract could ward off senile dementia. It turned out, that extract had absolutely no effect. However, the control used was a multivitamin (Centrum silver), and it turned out that the control group developed dementia at a much reduced rate, from the general aged population.

  6.  @TheUMIA  Since the "lab leak" lunacy has been well debunked by comparison to the genetics, of the strains of bat coronaviruses, being studied in Wuhan, to that of SARS-CoV-2, and by mapping of original cases, it is misinformation. Only the woefully ignorant still repeat it.

  7. What an insane proposal, easily debunked by facts. First, a scientific facility, would have incinerated those dead bats. Second, the wet markets weren't selling bat meat, animals waiting for slaughter were infected by bats, flying through the market.
