Only one witness went off into flights of fancy, and the changes he wanted to make to the Constitution, and that was the witness the Republicans brought. The three cogent law professors spoke, factually, of the fears of those that wrote the Constitution, that there would arise a president as corrupt and self-dealing as Trump, and what to do about it. and that is the reason that impeachment was written into the Constitution, as a remedy for a president like Trump, who would, with foreign help, pervert our elections.
