@lf3541 Thank you for all you did to keep us safe. I don't have as many letters as you do, just a BA in microbiology and MA in computer science. But, I followed the research with zeal (with the paywall down) and truly appreciate how amazingly well the mRNA platform worked. Kudos to you.

@strangewayfaringstranger The virus required two receptors, for membrane fusion, neither of which shows any different distribution in different races. One, TMPRSS2, is expressed more in males, which explains why the disease killed three times as many males, in the beginning. After the Omicron variant, which is so immune evasive because of a change that prevents it binding to TMPRSS2, this sex difference disappeared.

Hard to debate someone who just makes "facts" and "data" up. As soon as you demonstrate the falsity of one lie, he'll spout another. If JFKJ had any real scientific facts, he'd publish them in a peer reviewed journal. He doesn't because it's all BS.

@jilpok1074 What he says is both false and dangerous. He cites a nonexistent marker, as his proof. Actual scientific studies, on which HLA types, were more susceptible to the disease, show those markers are more prevalent in all Jews and Native Americans, than the general public. So his lies are exact opposite of what science has demonstrated.

This just demonstrates what a terrible liar Kennedy is, and how little he actually understands about science. There is no "H2 receptor" involved in Covid-19, but ACE-2 and TMPRSS-2, neither of which vary in ethnic groups. There is a variation of susceptibility, in certain HLA types. And these HLA types are found most often in all Jews, not just Ashkenazi, Arabs and Native Americans. So, Kennedy is just a lying racist.

He's an ignorant liar. I prefer experts, like Vincent Racaniello, who has debunked all his dangerous, and racist lies.

@averydaymond1560 Wrong, a degree mean you know more, about a field, than ignorant twits like Kennedy. Science and medicine didn't "get everything wrong", they had to respond rapidly to a novel disease, and despite everything, developed a safe and effective vaccine in record time.

@thewowks1148 Only lay people still entertain the well debunked lab leak theory. I could discuss the sequence of SARS-CoV-2, that prove it could not come from any of the strains in the lab. Or I could point to the numerous strains of coronavirus, in wild bat populations, that are much closer to Covid-19. But, just look at where all the original cases of Covid-19 were in Wuhan, all clustered around two wet markets, and none on the other side of the river where the lab is.

This deranged lunatic is responsible for the deaths of 80 Samoan children from measles, by convincing the Samoan president to stop using the MMR vaccine. He doesn't care who his lies harm.
