But he didn't just campaign as a Republican. He played to Democratic sentiment by claiming to be a cancer patient, the Jewish child of Holocaust survivors, orphaned by 9/11, gay, and having employees die in the Pulse nightclub shooting. None of which are true. He pandered to both sides, and told both the lies they wanted to hear.
