  2.  @bradynlotterman8164  If that were true then MLK shouldn't have statues, as he was a philanderer. And there certainly should not be statues to a drug addled felon, whose name we only know because of the ignoble way he died. You cannot name a single human, who has never done "bad stuff".

While I agree with removing many of the monuments to Confederates, that were put up early in the 20th century, I don't agree with removing statues of our Founding Fathers. Thomas Jefferson's main claim to fame was not his owning of slaves, but his role in the making of our country. I am disgusted that the same people, who'd erect a statue to a drug addicted felon, who is only known for his ignoble death, advocate for removing the statue of the man who wrote the Declaration of Independence, founded the world's first non-religous college, and was an early president of the country.
