  1. Kennedy repeats the lie that the US pays for 70% of NATO. We do not. It is false to claim that our entire defense expenditures are used to defend NATO, as the majority of the money we spend goes to military action in the Pacific and the middle east. A more realistic figure is we cover 22% of NATO expenditures. Also, Trump did not want to sanction Russia, and only signed them into law after Congress passed the bill with a veto-proof majority. Kennedy says we should evaluate a politician by their actions, not words. Yet, he seems to be noting but words, and his actions in Russia (when he went with that GOP only group) did not show strength. Therefore, his words are moot.
