  1. He said Russians, meaning the people, have no interest in invading Ukraine. It's clear that Putin wants to either invade, or infiltrate the government of Ukraine. And it's not to have a "buffer zone" but to continue to control the stolen warm sea port in Crimea, and to prevent the Russian people seeing a free democracy on their border. Putin isn't worried that anyone will invade Russia from Ukraine, but that Ukraine will give the Russian people ideas about overthrowing his dictatorship.
