  1. Rooting worked well enough on my Samsung tablet, which has the same O/S as the phones. (My phone is a Huawei.) I wasn't worried about slowness, but wanted to free space by removing redundant or useless apps. Because Samsung put so many of them where you can't reach them without being a super-user, I had to root it. And xponen, don't worry, some of us have been messing with Unix since the 80's.

  2. Samsung users, root your phone and install a file manager (not ES file manager, it is full of crap now) and remove all the bloatware. There are a good number of tutorials on YouTube to help you. Supposedly you can do the same for Apple products with Jailbreak, but I have no experience doing so.

  3. Has anyone watching this used Jailbreak to remove restrictions on their iPhone? Does it work as well as rooting your Android? It really annoys me when I am denies permissions on a device I own.
