  2. Do you really consider receiving a full pension, when you retire at 65 a hardship? Most citizens of other countries, including the US, would love such a generous government pension, and consider the current retirement age, of 62, a joke.

  3.  @dougthomson5544  Being asked to wait until 65, to retire with a full pension, is hardly draconian. Frankly, more are upset by loss of extensive mass transit, and banking at local post offices, due to EU regulations, than a reasonable change in the age of retirement. But, losing the French soul, to the EU hegemony, doesn't sound as civic minded, as bitching about retirement pensions. Perhaps, France needs a FREXIT, but they'd never follow the British lead.

  6. Where is here. The retirement age, for a full pension, is already considerably higher in the US, and most of Europe.

  7. Next time this reporter goes to a protest, they should bring a gas mask. If they have no access to a gas mask, breathing through a layer or two of onion absorbs most of the tear gas.
