  3. Thank you for your warning about mask wearing. I don't know which vaccine your dear wife got, but the J&J isn't proving as useful against this damned delta variant. However, studies are shown you can get a booster with one of the mRNA vaccines, and get an even stronger immune response than with one type of vaccine alone. It's too late for her, but you might keep that in mind. There is a lot of nonsense out there, which is why I like listening to TWiV, which has panels of genuine research virologists, not antivax BS artists.

  4. Sadly, it's the same here in Oregon. The stores all have mask saying the fully vaccinated need not wear a mask. But, listening to conversations, and asking others, I've found that the people with masks are the vaccinated, and the ones without think Covid is no big deal.

  8. The vaccinated can still get this delta variant, but they probably won't need to be hospitalized, and won't die. So, yeah, there's a big difference. Too bad unvaccinated jackasses have let the virus run free through the population.
