  1. Summers wasn't alone in predicting inflation. Anyone should have been able to predict that just distributing money, pushing more money into the system, while keeping interest rates near zero, would lead to inflation. It's not like there haven't been numerous precedents, countries that just printed money, that led to such serious inflation they had to switch to a new currency. But, instead of doing something to stave off more inflation, by raising the prime lending rate, many are talking about pumping even more money into the system, with an overly expensive bill that only helps parents of young children. Who will suffer from worsening inflation, the poor and those on a fixed income. And btw the reason it takes longer to take a flight, is not lagging infrastructure, but security theater. We didn't use to have to wait in long TSA lines.
