Sorry that your roommates are inconsiderate jerks.

You might have a compromised immune system, which means the vaccine might not work as well for you. But, there are no medical conditions that preclude any of the mRNA vaccines. If you have underlying conditions, that should encourage you to get vaccinated, not stay vulnerable. Anyone who does not get vaccinated should be shamed, and kept out of public.

@Ed_Warrior Sorry, but when the mRNA vaccines prevent replication in 95% of the people, who are fully immunized with them, how can you "still be contagious with a vaccine and immunity"? And studies have shown that the Pfizer and J&J vaccines are still effective against all strains, and the Moderna moderately effective. You clearly have never taken an immunology or virology course, or looked at any scientific papers. The problem is not that immunized individuals will spread the virus, but without a green passport type program, unvaccinated individuals are allowed in public places. Once we exclude unvaccinated individuals, from public spaces, we will be safe going unmasked.

@op3129 Wrong! In 95% of fully vaccinated individuals, with mRNA vaccines, viral replication is prevented. That means you cannot get Covid-19.

So, writing for a newspaper, or being a computer science prof, makes you a public health expert? Some of what this guy said is sensible, some is just ignorant. Someone like Fauci gives better advice. Bring on real experts, not some writer or computer programmer, without a relevant degree or experience.
