More the result of voter suppression than apathy. Kentucky has done a superb job of preventing black voters from going to the polls. So many of the ills of this country can be laid at the Supreme Court's feet. The voting act should never have been declared unnecessary. And campaign finance laws should not have been undone by the Citizen's United decision.

If only we could find an upright man, who is McConnell's doppelganger. Then we could substitute him, Prince and the Pauper style. The nation would be better off, and McConnell might learn a little compassion.

He's good at bringing pork home, that's why he was reelected.

Losing an election is not being robbed. Too bad the supporters of the demagogues, Trump and Sanders, don't realize that. Sanders lost fair and square. And, as he is not a Democrat, the only cheat was that he was allowed to run in our primaries.
2
@audioartisan We did, and chose Biden.
2
@marieknight9385 So, by being fair to all candidates, Sanders was cheated. You are as delusional as those who say Trump won this time. The GOP was taken over, and ruined by an extreme, dishonest, populist demagogue. And you want the same to happen to the Democratic party.
2
The founding fathers did not anticipate such unpatriotic behavior from the head of the Senate, any more than they expected it in a president. Cheaters always assume others cheat, honest people assume others are honest.

@-EricaCartman Absolutely true. Trump lost to Biden, in a landslide. But, sane people would have had an impossible time choosing between two horrible, lying demagogues. Trump would have beaten Sanders, because he has even more insane supporters. Or maybe, a third party candidate, being the least evil choice, might have won.

@ronaldcoleman312 There are very few Sanders supporters, they are not enough to matter.

@paulkern7229 Well said!

Read The Prince by Machiavelli, an old writing, but it will explain McConnell's behavior.

They are after power, for the sake of power, and political contributions are a means to that end.

@kathieleary7070 Actually, the least hard working senator! Look at his record. He accomplishes nothing.

Google "minority voter suppression Kentucky" and find your answer. Kentucky does a magnificent job of seeing that only the "right" (ie. not black) voters can vote. And McConnell brings home the pork, for those allowed to go to the polls. (And no, I don't think it is good to suppress the vote. I was being sarcastic.)
1
@marieknight9385 No, he is not. Which is why he twice lost. We don't want him.
1
Sanders is all talk, but accomplishes nothing, and will change positions at the drop of a hat.
1
@thephoenix7891 A terrible candidate lost twice, and you are surprised? Twice the Democrats rejected a lying, populist demagogue. That is to our credit.
