@jackl4laughs How ironic, that a person who doesn't understand punctuation, and ends a sentence with a preposition, is correcting someone else's English.

@ericdravis815 Funny how red flag laws work just fine in Canada, even without precognition.

@tigrrtom And proper gun storage. Too many kids get their hands on someone else's weapon.

@yanskiarbuckle847 Then it is a good thing, if he loses his gun, so he can't shoot himself. Funny how abusive people lose custody of their children, even when there is no gun in the situation. And when was the last time an abusive spouse got fired?

The problem is archaic laws, designed when many rural people hunted for food, or shot varmints attacking livestock or damaging crops, even teens. Where I grew up, everyone had a shotgun or .22 for those reasons. It's rather difficult to go on a killing spree, with single shot weapons. It would be simple to change laws, allowing long guns for 19 year olds, to exclude guns with magazines.

I'd still want background checks for every purchase, no exceptions.

He says a red flag law is supposed to predict the future, and that is wrong. Such a law comes into effect when somebody acts in such a way, that they are obviously a danger, like threatening to kill you girlfriend or wife if they dare leave you. This works in Canada, why can't we model a law on what they do? All some politicians have are excuses, but they never act to make us safer, with gun lobbies lining their pockets.

@t.dmytryshyn2615 Canada doesn't have a stupid law, forbidding a searchable database of registered guns, like the US has.
