He also instituted the first socialized medicine, when he decided the federal government would pay for all renal dialysis. He got us out of the war in Viet Nam that JFK and LBJ got us into. He opened up relations with China and the USSR. I think he cared about the people because he was raised a Quaker. If he hadn't covered up that dirty trick with the plumbers, he could have gone down as a great president. What a tangled web ...

  3.  @Whatsa-jaguar-now  Since Obama's White House, the EU, the IMF and the World Bank all wanted corrupt Shokin gone, Biden was working for the nation's interests. As Trump was putting the Ukraine in danger of further Russian invasion, to aid his 2020 campaign, he was working against American interests, and breaking campaign finance law. Nixon neither asked a foreign country for help, or worked against national interest. There is only one criminal in this group, and it's Trump.

  7. 1. The North Vietnamese were the side we were fighting with. 2. Peace discussion didn't start till long after Nixon was president. 3. The country was already upset with LBJ for getting us into that war. He wasn't going to be re-elected. 4. Nixon got to know Kissinger when he was his Nation Security Director. I bet that you weren't alive then. If you had been, you wouldn't believe the garbage you are putting out.

  9. It's not treason, but it does break campaign finance law. If he had paid an operative to investigate, instead of strong-arming the Ukrainian PM, it would have been tacky, but legal. I wish jeopardizing the US international interests was treason, but it's not.

  14. If you do something you are allowed to do, but for a corrupt purpose, it is not legal. eg. A building inspector can pass, or not pass, a building project. Yet if he passes it because he got a bribe, it is illegal, even those he is allowed to do so otherwise. Trump held up aid Congress had passed, to force another country to help his campaign. That is illegal.
