I was raised in a rural environment, yet got a science degree. My rural background has never prevented me from understanding how an experiment works. Why don't you get it? The variable here was the amount of CO2 in the plant's environment. Results: more carbon dioxide grows less nutritious food. The problem is not more urban folk are gullible, it is that some people are too dense to understand the scientific method.

Because it is not the topic of the video. Focus.

And another scary bit is many of the vectors (like mosquitoes and ticks) that spread disease are living further and further north. They are hatching and reproducing earlier. Tropical diseases are beginning to spread to more temperate zones. We could end up like Africa, where mosquitoes spread malaria and nearly half a million people die of it each year.

It might affect your weed. Just as food plants grow more lushly, with less nutrients, if given too much carbon dioxide, your weed might produce more leaves and less bud. And the bud it produces might have less of those cannabinoids you love.

A lot of people have been worried about this since the 70s. For intelligent people, this and overpopulation, have been the primary concern every since.

OK, forget the green new deal, just go with a carbon tax like Canada did.

Some of the genetic modification being done makes food more nutritious. And the beets that make the new veggie burger so good have heme genes inserted in them. We can genetically modify yeast to produce insulin, so we no longer kill animals to extract it. Only a fool focuses just on the negative, and ignores so much positive. And only an ignoramus thinks all GMOs are glyphosate resistant.
