  9.  @Meenaia  That depends on how recent the infection was. Also, many who recover quickly, using the innate immune system, never develop antibodies, not even IgM. Some who've had prolonged infections recover through the action of T cells, and never generate a strong antibody response.

  10. If you've recovered, you should test negative using a lateral flow test. If you recovered less than six months ago, there could still be circulating IgG against the nucleocapsid protein in your blood. Of course, that would depend on whether you mounted an adaptive immune response.

  12.  @amywilkins  While your case numbers are up, your hospitalization rates are not. That seems to prove the vaccines do work. The vaccinated, even if infected, don't get really ill.

  13.  @kilroy07  No vaccine is intended to prevent infection, especially not one for a respiratory virus. What they are meant to do is prevent severe disease, hospitalization and death, which they have proven to do very well. Also, vaccination greatly reduces transmission if infected, by over ten fold. It is the unvaccinated who are filling the hospitals, and doing most of the disease transmission. Immunization mandates have been a part of this country, since before we were a country. It is absurd to pretend this is a novel assault on liberty. You never had the freedom to endanger others.
