  1. It is an excellent book, but rather frightening as it describes many democratic countries that become despotic. Our country is currently heading down the same path. Trump and the Republicans tick all the boxes. The only way we don't loose our democracy is if either enough Republicans put country over party, or we get a Democratic majority. It also deals with race, and how we previously kept our country democratic by sacrificing minorities.
