  1. She never used it to an advantage. There are a lot of us, whose families go back 5 or more generations, who have familial stories of native blood, often Cherokee. My grandmother told such a story. (Of course it was a Cherokee princess .) If her story was true, I too would be 1/16. I never put much stock in it, nor passed it on as true to my children.

  2. Scientists never come out and say something is absolutely true. Every paper I read or written has always hedged a bit. 'This seems to be true' is the best you'll get. Only a fool is certain.
