  1. Don't all campaigns run opposition research? It doesn't sound like they accepted foreign funds. So what is the point here? That the research they paid for didn't get back to them? That this firm was paid by both the GOP and DNC to research Trump? Other than they didn't get what they paid for, what exactly is the problem? Opposition research, paid for by Americans, is legal and ubiquitous. This is nothing like accepting, or just being willing to accept, intelligence from Putin. And yet all the rabid trolls that have already commented here, act as if this is treason, and accepting help from a hostile government is OK.
