  1. @Oscar Bastidas It doesn't just affect the lungs. A lot of patients develop enlarged right ventricles, which plays havoc with cardiac rhythms, and doesn't go away. Some patients, even younger ones, get dementia.

  2. First, the virus has no feelings, it doesn't get upset. Second, the immune system consists of both humoral immunity (antibodies) and cellular immunity. There are white cells like, macrophages and eosinophils, that consume the virus and breaks it down. Third, if everyone wore a mask properly, there would be no need for eye protection, as the virus loaded droplets wouldn't spread. You don't wear a mask to protect yourself, you wear it to protect others if you have the virus and don't know it.
