And this is not the last shooting event. Today, in Chattanooga, TN, eleven people were injured and 3 killed, when gunfire broke out. Without sensible federal gun regulation, reports of shooting deaths and injuries have become mere sports statistics.

@salortiz6548 Untrue, it is the weapon. Other countries have terrorist attacks, but as they are done via knife or auto, the death counts are much lower.

@Cutman427 I read in the Atlantic that 98% of illegal guns in Chicago, are from straw purchases from states with lax gun laws. Thus, stricter federal laws requiring background checks and preventing straw purchases, would do a lot to bring down shooting deaths in Chicago.
