  3. He's not the only child, from his state, who will be going to college, or getting a scholarship. Some states are offering a sweepstakes as an inducement to do the intelligent thing, and get vaccinated. With kid, instead of money, they get a scholarship. Simple. This is smart, as the same people incapable of risk analysis, which would prove it is safer to be vaccinated, also think they have a snowball's chance of winning a lottery. If you're smart, you know it's safer to be vaccinated. If you're stupid, you think you can win.

Of course vaccinations should be required for children returning to school. Anyone who has ever taken a public health or epidemiology course knows that. Your ignorance of medical science should not be an impediment to sensible public health policy.
