@UKProperPrepper He wasn't just an actor. He has a law degree. He founded his own production company, and created, wrote and produced the shows he appeared in. That is considerably more impressive than a former B movie actor, or a reality TV 'star'.

@JerryMetal Hitler was not elected, he was appointed chancellor by von Hindenburg. The student led protests, that began in Maidan, were because they elected a president, Yanukovych, who promised to bring Ukraine into the EU, but instead, after months of negotiations, formed another trade alliance with Russia, rather than the EU. If Yanukovych had not used militarized police, and thugs released from prison, to murder the protestors, and kidnap then torture protest leaders to death, he would never have had to flee to Russia.

SCPython It's funny how Jewish organizations, worried about the rise of antisemitism, were not worried about Ukraine. A recent survey, done to measure the level of antisemitism in European countries, found Ukraine to be about 5% antisemitic, while Russia was 14%, and Poland 23%. Even western European countries have more neonazis, than Ukraine, Russia certainly has a lot more. The problem is Russia has equated Ukrainian nationalism, a desire to remain a democratic country, with Nazism.

@springsummer7138 This whole NATO 'expansion' thing is total BS. NATO is an alliance, not a country, it cannot expand its borders, as Russia has done, by annexing other countries. It has allowed more countries to become members, and it doesn't have to coerce any country to join. They look at Russian imperialism, expanding its borders, taking over parts of sovereign countries, and want the protection NATO provides. If Russia was not acting so imperialistically, Baltic states wouldn't have felt the need to join NATO.

@iliashornung3178 Sadly, Nazi propaganda used hatred of Russia against the Jews. It claimed Jews started the Bolshevik revolution, and that Stalin was a Jew. After suffering Holodomor, Ukrainians hated Russia and the Soviet system. That hatred of Soviets was turned on innocents, who had also suffered from Soviet excesses and repression.
