  1.  @brucemacmillan7128  What is truly sad is, if you can get to a part of the earth that is really flat, like the ocean or Kansas, you can see that the earth does curve, as the horizon is not infinite. If you have the ability to reason, you don't even need to be above the earth, to realize there is curvature.

  2. I heard the flat earth stupidity in the 1960s, long before social media, or even the internet, existed. Nuts were going on about Ruby Ridge in the 1970s. There were antivaccine fools in the 1980s. With algorithms pushing the crazy, these batty theories are fed to more people, but they existed before YouTube.

  3. Even if you had a decent childhood, but had parents who stressed reason and logic, over superstition, you like to see proof.

  4. Plenty of people have been oppressed/murdered over religious differences. The current pandemic cannot be ended, due to BS conspiracy theories about vaccines and immunity. It is absurd to claim either is harmless.
