  1. I know, when my father was in the Reserves, he had to leave any weapon in a locker on base. Isn't that why we have armories, to store weapons when they are not being used on active duty?

  2.  @Anna-vl8qc  They can have ammo, but only at their shooting clubs, where the weapons and ammo must remain.

  3. Why not make background checks look at social media posts, and the past seven years of arrest history? If that period extends, into a time when the applicant is a minor, they should have to agree to having their records unsealed, in order to get a weapon.

  5.  @daveharvey5764  Didn't the schools in Texas and Florida, where mass shootings occurred, also have a resource officer? It didn't do them much good. Better than fortifying and guarding every school, mall, department store, grocery store, festival, restaurant, bar, nightclub, post office, warehouse, etc. (all places mass shootings have killed innocents), why not just have sensible federal gun restrictions?

  8. Regardless of which weapons it allows, it was clearly written to only apply to member of a state militia, the National Guard. And that is how the Supreme Court interpreted it for 217 years, until Scalia wrongly decided it didn't.
