  1. I wish that were true, but the power is distributed and regional, not federal. I'm sure you've heard how don't have one election, but a whole lot of regional ones. Each state's Sec. of State, and each voting district, has control. The federal government used to be able to step in, if minorities' voting rights were being infringed upon, but SCOTUS put an end to that.

  2. I was beyond disappointed, in 2016, when Hillary Clinton lost. (I know she got about three million more votes, but she lost the Electoral College.) It made me unhappy, but I accepted reality. I didn't pretend she was really president, and if I just closed my eyes and wished hard enough, she'd be transported to the White House. What is wrong with these people that they cannot accept Trump's loss? They have the right to be unhappy about it, but no matter how hard they believe, they cannot change reality.
