  1. We do need a national referendum process. There are many things the people want, that legislature and courts refuse to allow us. Reproductive freedom is one, legal cannabis is another. If we had a national referendum process, we might even have the guaranteed annual income, Nixon wanted for citizens, but legislature refused to act on. We might even have a fairer, more graduated tax structure, with fewer loopholes for the rich and corporations. But, how do we take that power, for the people?

  2. The first amendment also prevents the establishment of a state religion, so all are allowed to follow the religion, of their choice, or none at all. SCOTUS is about to make the dictates of the Catholic church, the law of the land. How is that constitutional? (Notice all the unqualified justices, Trump foist upon the citizenry, are Catholic.)
