  1. Mere guns won't do it. The insurrectionists at the US capitol had guns, but not the power of the army. What is needed to take over a government, is the military not obeying their oath.

  3. This is the same thing other dictators have done. Think of Venezuela, where Maduro still holds power, despite Guido being the internationally recognized winner of the election. Think of Putin, who throws his opponents in jail. Think of Turkey, where Erdogan had a do-over election, when he did not like the results. I would say Trump tried to follow the path of other strongmen, but fortunately failed to hold onto power, rather than anyone copying him.
