  1. While it is true that some regulation is necessary, to protect the public from industry, overregulation can impede progress. Look at California. While it should be obvious that better mass transit, and high speed rail, would ultimately be better for the environment, any attempt for that improvement is stopped by a wealth of environmental regulations, used by property owners because of NIMBY. Take a look at all the regulations, making it nearly impossible for California property owners to add solar panels to their home, then connect them to the grid. There is always a sweet spot to regulations, enough to prevent industry from stomping on individuals and the environment, but not so many that positive change is impeded.

  2. Conservatism is not the same as fascism. She didn't need to elaborate, because her audience understands what conservative principles are. You'd have to be pretty ignorant to not know.

  3. Any sane person would be scared. He came close to destroying our democracy, the first time he was president. Our way of government held, just barely. If he were to get in office again, you can kiss our democracy goodbye. Read How Democracies Die and you'll see how dangerous he is.
