  1.  @Saleigh  This virus is transmitted through fomites. (Look it up.) You know how when you go outside on a cold day, you see your breath. Those are minute droplets, and we exhale those every time we breathe out. Those droplets settle on surfaces, and when someone touches them, they pick up the virus. If you wear a mask, those droplets are contained within the mask, and no fomites are left to contaminate the next person. And sure, hand washing reduces transmission, but do you wash your shoes when you enter your home. If those droplets (from an unmasked cretin) drop to the floor, the next person can pick them up and contaminate their car or home. Mask allow gases to pass (like oxygen and carbon dioxide) but keep in particles as large as droplets. And learn to punctuate, so that you sound less like a tweeker.

  3.  @doctorcoos  What is your doctorate in? Clearly not medicine, microbiology, or any life science. This is an infectious disease caused caused by a virus. And it has not been proven yet that the presence of antibodies confer immunity against this disease. Many stains of common cold that are caused by coronavirus don't produce a lasting immunity. Coronavirus immunity often wanes after a couple of years.

Since people carrying this disease can spread it while asymptomatic, anyone exposed is supposed to go into quarantine. Officials in other countries did so, ex. Benyamin Netanyahu went into quarantine for two weeks when his Minister of Health tested positive.
