Trump's lawsuit were typical of a bully. He owed small businessmen money, and he sued them to tie them up in court. He used his lawyers as threats, but most state governments aren't afraid of him, and don't cave.

Wrong. Nixon didn't try to hold on to power, like Trump did, when impeachment loomed. He resigned. And he didn't have all the state charges waiting for him, that Trump does. Nor did Nixon try to form his own network. Nixon was nothing like Trump, and his "scandal" was nothing compared to what Trump has done.

@frostiefrost5534 Do you honestly think Trump or Barr would let a memo stand in their way?

@pennymitchell8523 There are numerous federal charges that could be brought against him, the Emoluments Clause and misuse of power spring to mind. But, he will pardon himself before that happens. Our hope rests in Letitia James.

@camillegema85 No, impeachment charges were never brought against Nixon, so he was never impeached. (The phrase "convicted of impeachment " is meaningless. There is impeachment and removal. ) He resigned before then. The only presidents impeached are Andrew Johnson, Clinton and Trump. No president has ever been removed.

@majoriethomson8747 He can pardon himself for any federal crime, the presidential pardon power are broad, and previous presidents were constrained only by convention. But, he cannot pardon himself for state crimes. And Letitia James, of New York, has some charges waiting for January.

@patrickfallon4389 No Democrat forced corporations to buy from China, they did so for economic reasons. And China's Most Favored Nation status was made permanent in 2001. Bush II, not Obama, was president then. You may want to blame everything on the black president, but you can't.
