America failed in Vietnam and Korea, because we chose to fight a limited war. We set up a DMZ, and would not cross it, even though the enemy did. We are doing the same in Ukraine, arming our allies, but not with offensive weapons. We tell them that they may not strike in Russia, despite what the Russians are doing to Ukrainian civilians, and civilian infrastructure. We need arm Ukraine, with what it needs to win, not what it needs to continue a stalemate, that is destroying their country. We also need to provide air cover.

If he's turned back from Ukraine, what makes you think he'll try another invasion? If he wins, he probably finish of Moldova and Georgia, as Russia is already occupying parts of those countries. Then, he'd probably turn to the ever bickering Azerbaijan and Armenia, who aren't in NATO, especially as Azerbaijan is a thorn in the side of Russia's ally, Iran. Then he has all the Muslim FSU countries to conquer, and none of them are in NATO. He'll have plenty of non-NATO projects, before he decides to take NATO on, and invade Estonia or Poland.
