  3. Yes, let's listen to what the man who misjudged Putin in 2012 (when debating Romney), 2014 (when Putin first invaded Ukraine), and 2015 (when Putin joined forces with al Assad in Syria) has to tell us about Putin. Putin hasn't changed, Obama has just finally realized he was wrong all along.

  6. Contrast his speech to Romney's, when it came to what a threat Putin was. Contrast it to Hillary Clinton. Either would have taken action against Russian aggression, when Obama did nothing.

  12. I'm older, and disagree. I can think of several presidents, in my lifetime, who spoke better and seemed more intelligent, and several who were more honorable. You're just overlooking his flaws, and bad foreign policy, which led to the war crimes in Ukraine today.

  14. He hasn't changed at all. He used ruthless means to conquer Chechnya, just like he's doing in Ukraine. He used the same brutal methods in Syria. Don't forget, Putin invaded Ukraine in 2014. Who was president during those last two campaigns? Trump made him stay his hand, because he felt he could get what he wanted without risk, but did not change Putin.

  15.  @nycatlady2314  Do you think drawing a red line, in Syria, then doing nothing, didn't make Putin bolder? How about Obama's weak response to invading Ukraine in 2014? Obama castigated Romney, in 2012, for saying Putin was a threat. Clearly Romney was correct, and Obama very wrong. It wasn't so much power that emboldened Putin, but the realization Obama was all talk, and no action. And, look how pathetically our government responded, in 2016, when Russia messed with our election. One might think Obama just didn't want a woman to become president.
