In Oregon, we have machines to do signature comparison. Only rejected ballots are perused by human eyeballs. And, in one video, I saw Arizona has the same sort of machines. This sort of signature verification has been successfully used by banks, for checks, since at least the 1970s. The problem lies in the laws, legislated by the Republican state house, that do not allow signature verification to even begin, until the polls close. My state, Oregon, is the first in the nation to vote only by mail, and signature verification is done, as the ballots are received. If you vote early enough, you have to time to cure a rejected ballot. Tabulation does not begin until the start of election day. If the Republican Arizona legislature, would change the laws, the vote count would begin, and end, sooner.
