  1.  @larry6601  Your contention, that fascists are socialists is dead wrong. Fascism and socialism are mutually exclusive. They are entirely different political models, from the opposite ends of the political spectrum. While extreme ends, of both wings, tend to authoritarianism, only right wingers are fascist. That is not to say all right wingers are fascist (see the foiled German coup to restore the monarchy), but all fascists are right wing. All socialists are left wing.

  2. Neither side did well, in the candidates they nominated. Admittedly, where Trump endorsed a candidate, truly bad ones were chosen. But then, his metric is whether or not they support the Big Lie, not competence or sanity. In Senate races, the Republicans put up a truly particularly candidate in Georgia, but so did Democrats in Wisconsin.
