  1. Intelligent, educated people realize that most of the drugs and criminals come over legal border crossings. That is why Democrats pushed for better detection devices at border crossings. If you are worried about illegals, fine the assholes that hire them. (Trump is one of them.)

  3. No intelligent person doesn't want secure borders. The wall will not achieve that, twenty-first century technology can. We need more drones, sensors, x-ray machines, etc., but not a useless, expensive wall.

  6. Illegal border crossings by Mexicans is now almost null. (Do not confuse those from Central America with Mexicans.) One of the reasons few Mexican sneak into the US now, is we sent the jobs to them in border cities. Pull the US companies out and you will have more illegal immigrants, not less.

  7. Justin Clary, Have you seen the wall on the Israeli southern border? It sits in a flat desert. It does not have to contend with rivers or mountains. It is also much shorter than our US border. You are right that we should control who comes into this country in order to maintain sovereignty. But the wall will not address the bulk of the problem. We had no problem when those who hired illegal aliens were stiffly fines. Reagan got rid of that sensible practice. We should return to it. Rather than cost taxpayers money, it will bring in revenue, and it worked in the past.
