Putin and his apologists keep trying to equate those who love their country with Nazis, which could not be further from the truth. The level of antisemitism, in Russia, is three times what exists in Ukraine. Ukraine has elected both a Jewish president and PM, something a country full of Nazis would never do. The west stands with Ukraine, because it represents democracy and freedom, while Russia is the stale old authoritarian, repressive model of government.

  6. I noticed that in those interviews, older Russians, who get their news from state outlets, are more likely to support Putin, than younger people, who rely more on internet sources and have VPNs.

  8. Is this really more like pre-WWII Germany, or East Germany when it was controlled by the USSR? I had acquaintances who escaped, from behind the Iron Curtain, and the Stasi were so pervasive, people were afraid to talk in front of their children, because they might turn them in for speaking against the state. That is where Putin got his start, as he was stationed in East Germany.

  10. He'll probably stop at most of Ukraine's western borders. I feel certain, he will finish the invasions of Moldova and Georgia, and then turn south and east, rather than attack NATO countries. I assume he'll take Armenia and Azerbaijan, as they are busy fighting each other, and are not in NATO. That will give him a land bridge to his ally, Iran. With their help, he'll next subdue eastern, majority Muslim FSU countries. He'll probably make a pact with the tyrant Erdogan, so NATO will lose its bases in that country, and he'll have a connection to Syria, which he already controls through al Assad. Then, it will be a question if he continues taking middle eastern countries, or 'reunites' western FSU countries with Russia (ie. Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Hungary, etc.) Both middle eastern countries and the Baltic states would be easy to pick off, due to constant infighting.
