  1. What was his motive? You really have to ask? The guy was covered with neonazi tattoos. He scoped out a synagogue in April, but left when he realized it was guarded. He drove from his hometown, to the Chicago suburb with the highest concentration of a Jewish population, and he began shooting at a Kletzmer band. His motive is as obvious as the guy who opened fire on people in that Tops market in Buffalo, racism, just with a different target group.
