Josh Edmonds Wow, so many lies. First, the virion doesn't have a receptor, but it does latch onto the ACE-2 receptor. That is how it enters a host cell. Second, for those with a weak immune response, it overwhelms the host and kills them. It enters the host cell, takes it over and kills it. If too many cells in the lungs are killed, you can't get enough oxygen and die. So it is not just the cellular immune response setting off a cytokine storm. Yes, that happens, but even without it, this virus can kill. And if you have excess adipose tissue, the inflammation is even worse, which is why it kills the obese more than the thin. And people who take ACE-2 inhibitors, for many heart conditions, develop more ACE-2 receptors on their cells. So, the virus has more routes to enter host cells. That is why those with heart conditions get sicker.
