  1. True, the Ukrainians aren't the only civilians being targeted. Israeli civilians are so used to being targeted, that every apartment building has to have a bomb shelter. And in the newer high rises, there has to be a reinforced room, a mamad, which adds about $15K to the cost of each unit. When you walk around larger cities, there are always reinforced metal boxes, every few blocks, for bomb disposal. And there are metal detectors at the entrance to supermarkets and malls. All this defense is why the cost of living is the highest in the world. But, Israelis aren't Europeans, so who cares? The excuse in Syria was, it was their own government targeting them, this is Shiite vs. Sunni, and we don't get involved in civil wars. So Sunnis were killed and driven from their homes, the same way the Jordanian army drove the native Jews from their homes in Judea and Samaria. It isn't Europe, so who cares? And we don't step in, to stop the killing of civilians, in the nearly constant 'civil' wars in Africa either. One tribe is always killing another, but it isn't Europe or the US, so who cares?
