I can find only one reference to someone who may have died from improper use of an N95 mask. But, those are not the masks required, and the fool was wearing it for an extended period, despite being in her car alone. Leave the N95 masks to those who know how to properly wear them, and wear a simple cloth mask or surgical mask, when among others, and everyone will be fine.

I have several friends named Karen. None of them are this entitled or stupid. I suggest a new name for idiots like this, Tiffany or Crystal. I've met several women with those names, and they are all as clever as a box of rocks.

@WSrambo187 I saw that report. She was the only occupant in car, yet kept on an N95 mask. When you are the only person in the car, you are not required to wear a mask. And the types of masks mandated are not N95 masks, which are difficult to put on properly, but simple cloth masks. She died, not from using a mask, but misusing a mask. If she had done as health official suggest, and left the N95 masks to those who use them correctly, she'd still be alive. Show some consideration for others, and wear a simple surgical mask when among other people.

@lillic8522 i really wouldn't care if all these Trump supporting, science denying mouth breathers formed their own colony. They could then infect each other, die off, and raise the IQ average of this nation. But, they are more likely to be around thinking humans, and infect them, through their malicious stupidity.

If you can't breathe, you are wearing it improperly. Wear a simple cloth mask instead. You should be able to easily breathe through it, yet keep people safe from your germs.

@tommcfeely8707 Not every other nation, only the developed countries. Take a look at what is happening in most of Africa, India, and Latin America. Their medical systems are not equipped for this infectious explosion. The worst is Yemen, an area already devastated by war. Infection is totally uncontrolled there, yet the Houthis just fired more missiles into Saudi Arabia, ending the ceasefire established to help them fight Covid-19.

@user8674-g4e No, they did not. What they actually said was that N95 masks, the kind that protect the wearer, are difficult to use and the limited supply should be left to medical personnel. Simple cloth masks are very effective in protecting everyone from the wearer, they prevent the broadcasting of infectious droplets. You don't wear a mask to protect yourself from others, but to protect others from you. This virus is something good people do not want to share with others. Only a truly heinous person refuses to protect others.
