  1. There was a wall between Mexicali and Calexico in the 1960's. I remember when my parents flew over it in their Cesna 210. We passed through Mexican customs only to find they didn't have the octane of aviation fuel we needed. So, we flew back to the US (illegally) and refueled, then returned to Mexico. I was so nervous when we flew over that border wall, that is why I remember its existence to this day.
