@oracleofraelor9141 First off, it's herd immunity. Secondly, the virus isn't evolving that rapidly, you are confusing it with influenza, which can switch around its genetic sub-units with another influenza virus, during co-infection. That is why the antigens expressed by influenza change season to season, and we need a different flu shot each year. Coronaviruses don't do that. The problem with developing vaccines to coronaviruses is, they often don't evoke a strong or lasting immune response. Another problem, often a vaccine against a coronavirus allows the virus to enter, and kill, T lymphocytes, worsening a patient's prognosis. That is why the antigen used is often just a section of the spike molecule.
