@remander3873 There are people who don't drive. If you have no place to park your car, a car is actually a liability. Many rely on mass transit. And those DMVs, which issue driver's licenses are often at the outskirts of town, and not served by mass transit. That makes is hard for someone, without a car, to get that ID.

@jameszclark States don't provide ID, you have to pay for it. Most countries give their citizens a national ID card, gratis.

@cjtymczak4687 I wish the rest of the country would just go all vote by mail. We did so in Oregon, in 1998, and it has worked well. We have the cleanest voter rolls in the nation, and always the highest voter turnout.

@carlsanc3880 Do you have the memory of a fruit fly? Gas prices were high, before the pandemic, then dropped because nobody was driving anywhere. Now that many are vaccinated, people are driving and flying again, and the cost of fuel goes up. Supply and demand. (Oh yeah, and that freighter getting stuck in the Suez canal didn't help matters.)
